Chef and owner Laurent Reux was born in Brittany, France. He did his
apprenticeship at the Hotel du Blavet in 1979. He came to the United States in
1985 and worked with Jean Claude Berger at Le Rendez-Vous before becoming the
sous chef at Anthony's in the Catalinas. In 1989, Laurent joined George and Lou
Badoux at Le Bistro. He purchased the business in February 1991. Le Bistro has garnered many honors over the years. Named on of
the top one hundred restaurants in Arizona, listed in the Mobil Travel Guide as
well as the Zagat Survey. Winner of best desserts in Tucson and for eight
consecutive years, Le Bistro has been the recipient of the coveted Silver Spoon
Award. The Tucson Citizen gives this award to the top ten restaurants in Tucson. Chef Laurent regularly strolls through the dining room chatting with guests
making certain everyone is well taken care of. |
